The Spread rate is 200 sq. ft. per gallon (nominal), about half that of ordinary exterior house paint.  Recommend two coats nets 100 sq. ft. of coverage per gallon.

Substrate must be clean, dry and sound.  All preparation standards are taken from MPI “Architectural Painting Specification Manual” – the PAINTERS BIBLE

Preps like paint – looks like paint.  Liquid Ceramic® is a two-coat application; both coats can and should be tinted.  Local paint stores can tint to virtually any color.

Temperatures, for exterior applications, must be between 40º Fahrenheit and 85º  Fahrenheit.  Dewpoint must not be within 5º of temperature, Humidity must be under 85%.  Substrate moisture content must be under 14%. 

Do not apply in the rain, or if it is expected to rain within the next six hours after the project is completed.  Do not coat in direct sunlight, always coat the shaded wall.  Drying time between coats is 4 hours.

Leftover product (Pastel and/or Medium bases) can be used for 1st coat on next job under colors of Pastel and/or Medium bases; but, never use leftover product of Dark and/or Accent bases except under Dark And Accent colors. 

Exterior colors in Pastel and Medium bases are Semi-Gloss finish, Exterior colors in Dark and Accent bases are Flat finish.  Interior colors are Flat and Eggshell finish.

Coating is 10 – 12 mils thick, when wet.  Dries to the touch in one hour.  Raw (new) surfaces must be primed before coating.  Previously stained surfaces must be primed before coating.

Liquid Ceramic® can be applied over most any surface.  Liquid Ceramic® can be brushed, rolled or sprayed.  Synthetic brushes are recommended with brush application.  Rollers must be “lint free”. 

Sprayer must be able to pump 1.1 gallons, or more, per minute.  Pressure should be @ 3,300 PSI, or more.  Airless sprayer Ultra Max 1095 (GRACO), or greater, is recommended.  #5 - #21 tip is recommended for spraying
